I walked down to the edge of the lake well before first light. I set up looking north-west to get the sun’s dawn rays coming from behind me to light up the mountain across the lake. What I found was the most peaceful of scenes, perfect reflections, clear sky with a few stars still lingering around and just enough glow to light up the mountains. For the next hour I could hear nothing – I had absolute solitude for my morning shoot.
